Base, forms and reinforcement are set to the plan agreed at the estimate, then the concrete is placed, finished and cut for control joints. It cures before it takes traffic: the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association puts curing at typically 3 to 7 days (more in our FAQ).

How long a slab lasts is mostly decided before the concrete arrives: the base graded and compacted on Upstate red clay, drainage planned, reinforcement placed and control joints cut. Freeze-thaw on wet ground is what breaks concrete here, so that prep is part of every estimate we write.
